  What Watchtower fails to tell the reader is that Kathy had three panic attacks in previous races and that "athletic achievement" did not cause her to jump off the bridge. She later claimed to have mental and emotional issues.
  
  “People say I did it because I wasn’t winning the race. I won very few races. That wasn’t it. It’s like I was out of control.”

  Ok, so here is my sociopath story. I hired a builder once to build me a house just before leaving the WT. He was just starting out and wanted to make a good show out of it. He did lots of extra stuff for free or at cost. It was on two acres. Everything went well. He was exceptionally bright, somewhat charismatic and knew how to tell you what you wanted to hear. We kept in touch. I later went off to university and rented the house while I was gone. Afterwards I came back and rented an office from him along with an ex-cop turned attorney and a real estate broker/lending corporation.
  
  He talked me into lending 50K to a guy who needed money who put up 288 acres for collateral.... far above 50 K in value.
  
  AS the months rolled by, I kept asking why I never received payments from the loan. I kept getting one BS story after another. Finally, I called the borrower and he said that Gary had told him not to make the payments just yet. I did some checking and found out that the lenders lien had never been filed and there was only a few days to file it or Gary would be able to legally seize the property as the unpaid broker. I hurriedly prepared the document and drove 100 miles to the small town and dutifully filed the lien only 24 hrs. before the deadline.
  
  The borrower got another loan from somewhere else and paid me off with interest so I dodged a bullet.
  
  I later found out that he ripped off the attorney somehow. One vendor guy lost 10k in furniture he delivered and never got paid. He told me that his research indicated that Gary had been sued over 100 times and characterized him as a con artist.
  
  A few years later Gary showed up in the newspaper in a real estate deal where he ripped off a multi-billion dollar tech company in a real estate deal for 3-4 million dollars. I was impressed. After years in the courts, he finally went to trial and beat it using politically connected lawyers that somehow felt ingratiated to him. He was the best schmoozer I ever met.
  
  A few years after that, he finally got sent to prison along with a State Senator for a ponzi investment scheme that sold - GET THIS : (drum roll ) - SAND.
  
  Yup, sand. Supposedly it was needed for fracking in south Texas. BTW, south Texas is full of sand. I kid you not. They are both still in prison. They took millions from poor rich old ladies and greedy suckers.

  It has been strangely gratifying over the years to look him up on the internet and track his sociopathic rise and fall. There is a lot more to tell, but you get the gist. I feel lucky that out of everyone he ripped off in his career, I may be the only one that actually came out ahead!

  New Book - The Reluctant Prostate

  hey everyone, i'm writing a new book.. it's the entirely fictional story about a character called "roy devons", an obese clown who was kicked out of clown college because he couldn't stop touching himself.

  he launches his own youtube channel where he tells the world how wrong and unfunny clowns really are.

  the world already knows this, and never really had much todo with clowns anyway, although some other ex-clowns felt like they needed to be reminded regularly of their past lives.. he hits upon the idea of asking for donations to support efforts to convince ex-clowns to get their prostates checked.

  This is not so far-fetched a story. Kung Fu star David Caradine apparently had a similar "reluctant prostate" and was found in a Thai hotel room with a rope tied to his neck and genitals, Thai police said.

  the "we're all imperfect" phrase, is an over used watchtower membership cliche, embedded in the minds of jws and anyone that leaves.

  in the real world, there is no such thing as "we are all imperfect".

  I believe the most important thing is that those who do wrong come to have the right view on the matter. That they acknowledge that what they did is harmful to themselves and others. A heartfelt apology and amends, when possible, should be made. All necessary life changes should be made so that the wrongdoing not only cease, but not happen ever again.

  With all due respect, "wrong views" , "right views" try harder, run faster, jump higher... these are WT type solutions. People engage in self destruction because of an emotional hunger, an emptiness that can't be filled no matter their view, or how hard they try to fix it.
  
  What bothers me the most about this whole affair is how long this went undiagnosed. A sex-addict was advocating for CSA survivors on a multi-national very public level. In other words, An inmate was "helping" run the asylum, the arsonist was "helping" the firefighters.
  
  A conscience this seared might have entered the sociopath arena. Not sure professional help can fix that.

  This woman is definitely defending Lloyd and doesn't seem very well educated. She reasons that because ancestors of Jesus visited and we're prostitutes (Judah & Rahab) that we shouldn't be judgmental. Wow! This is pretty lame reasoning.

  
  She is on the wrong tract for recovery and I hope no one takes this woman's reasoning seriously.
  
  The fact is that Lloyd is a sex addict and like all addicts they form maladaptive relationships with experiences, & substances instead of with people. These impossible relationships with objects are guaranteed to produce a mood altering experience.... everytime; unlike real relationships that do not produce at a 100% rate . The one thing the addiction cannot do is give you love back - which is a legitimate and healthy mood altering experience.

  Only real love can make you feel whole. Addictions only produce a temporary mood change that must repeatedly and more frequently be engaged in to produce desired results. This inevitably involves the insanity of doing the same thing over, and over, and over again expecting a different result that never comes. This is why addictions are called a "vise". Once enmeshed in the maladaptive relationship, the addict is powerless.
  
  Admitting powerlessness in NOT the same thing as abdicating responsibility. Like many things in life, there may be multiple causations for things that are ultimately our responsibility to figure out and deal with. Children use excuses, adults get educated and do the heavy lifting that will give their life meaning, value and texture, which is sometimes rough. But, it is authentic and not fake.
  
  12 step programs like Celebrate Recovery (there are hundreds of meetings in the USA every week) help people to get their mind off of themselves through a number of different ways. People are helped to understand that gratification is a by-product of relationship and should be sought indirectly (not directly) through devices such as empathy, service , community & relationship.
  
  MANY JW born-ins experienced very robotic, mechanical upbringings and are literally starving for genuine relationships and healing from being raised by emotionally shut-down, emergency minded parents. JW born-ins must learn the mechanics of addiction in my opinion so that they can head off in the right direction after Watchtower.

  I fear that atheist XJW's who are in need of this kind of help might not want to attend a 12 step program because of references and reliance upon a "higher power". I would just say, that ANYTHING that helps us get our mind off ourselves and practice the habits of living a life of gratitude and thankfulness for the loving relationships we have (or might have) is definitely time well spent and will get positive results.

  lloyd is not going to go away , he has too much to loose(money) neither will his followers go as we have seen the last few days there was hardly a drop to his membership .so what's next?

  we will be branded in the same colours and because of him we won't be taken seriously anymore.

  Enough is enough. Where do we go from here? I will tell you where I went from here. I have filed a complaint with Patreon.

  I agree. First, STOP the enabling. If a person has donated money through Patreon in the past, I think registering a complaint and notifying the news media might be a good idea. Maybe sue for refunds if he is not kicked off the platform.
  
  Lloyd has admitted that he cannot control himself, he would like to but he can't. He has an addiction plain and simple. He is caught in a vice and is powerless. His addiction has lasted years and probably decades, stretching back to his inappropriate dealings with a 14 yr. old girl while a JW elder. His addiction is NOT going away on its on.
  
  Regardless of the causes... IT IS HIS RESPONSIBILITY. That's the main point in all this.
  
  He needs enrollment into a 12 step program and to get in touch with his "higher power" - the one that supposedly doesn't exist but has made it possible for millions to conquer their addictions.... sex, alcohol, drugs - whatever.

  Patreon contributors need to send a message that they are not going to tolerate sex addicts who masquerade as advocates for Childhood Sexual Abuse while at the same time, going on illegal sex vacations to the child rape capitol of the world.
  
  Patreon has somewhat enabled these abuses and needs to immediately stop participating in his charade of piety, lest they want to support some sort of twisted Evans Gate Cult.
  
  
  

  These kids at a food bank have no idea who it is serving them. But it is activities like these that help former addicts see other people as real human beings with internal value and worth rather than simply objects for their manipulation, enabling, gratification etc.

The whole sex industry is unfathomably abusive to young girls & women and it also exploits the natural God-given instincts in men making them slaves too, as Lloyd is painfully experiencing. It is twisted, abusive, & ultimately unfulfilling .... it is a scam to everyone involved. No one wins.
  
  This is why Lloyd was suicidal on New Year's Eve. His "scuba diving" in the prostitution capitol of the world was unable to fill the hole in his soul. He got scammed. He was deceived by it. It will rob him of all that he holds dear.
  
  Sin is by nature a scam, illogical & deceptive. It doesn't deliver what it promises by its pitchmen.
